Help make Nottingham a slavery free city.  Join us for an evening of film and discussion about what modern slavery looks like in your community on 20 June 2017 at University of Nottingham.

The University of Nottingham’s Research Priority Area in Rights and Justice and Antislavery Usable Past Project are partnering with Unchosen to bring this unique evening event to Nottingham on 20 June.

Come and find out what modern slavery looks like in your community, how to spot the signs and how you can take action against it.

We’ll be showing a number of Unchosen’s emotive and informative films, based on real life case studies about slavery in the UK. This will be followed by question and answer sessions with our panel of experts below:

Yoke Farm directed by Tim Keeling – Henry
runs a corner shop in a sleepy English town by the
coast, and begins to notice that his new free range
egg supplier may not be as ethical as he seems.

Safina StilbwSafina directed by Tony Clark – ‘Safina’
centres on a 16 year old Gambian girl escaping
her traffickers. She has to prove she is a child to
UK authorities who decide whether to grant her full protection or not.
